Nunzio Marcelli is known throughout Italy as an outspoken advocate for traditional farming. In 1977, he co-founded and was the inspiration for the bio-agriturismo farm, La Porta dei Parchi, located in Anversa degli Abruzzi, Abruzzo, Italy.
A frequent expert speaker at Slow Food events, he is the President of the Abruzzo Shepherds Association and head of the Co-operative Parco Produce SCRL.
Nunzio is the producer of some of the finest examples of pecorino cheese in Abruzzo, he constantly works to promote sustainable agriculture and for the protection of the natural resources of his beloved Abruzzo.
